Yesterday, three leaders from different religious communities in Washington convened at the Buxton Initiative to discuss the changing dynamics of marriage. Featured speakers were Imam Mohamed Magid from the All Dulles Area Muslim Society, Rabbi Esther Lederman from the Reform Jewish congregation at Temple Micah, and Reverend Scott Seaton from Emmanuel Presbyterian Church (PCA). Magid, Lederman and Seaton discussed the various ways each of their respective congregations have engaged a number of complex issues, including interfaith marriage, same-sex marriage, and the rising divorce rate. Many thanks to our speakers and participants!
