J. Douglas Holladay (Founder, Co-Chair) currently devotes most of his time to number of non-profit efforts, including the Buxton Initiative, PathNorth, Inc., and Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure. Previously, he was a senior officer with the international investment banking firm Goldman, Sachs & Company and held senior positions in the White House and State Department. He holds degrees from the University of North Carolina, Princeton and Oxford University.
Imam Mohamed Magid (Honorary Director) is the Imam and Executive Director of the All Dulles Area Muslim Society, ADAMS Center, in Sterling, Virginia. Under his direction, the Center has grown to be one of the largest Muslim community organizations in the Washington Metropolitan Area. In May 2006, Fairfax County Human Rights Commission awarded Imam Magid with their Human Rights Award. A Sudanese-born American, Imam Magid is the son of the Grand Mufti of Sudan. He currently resides in Reston, Virginia with his wife and daughters.
Robert J. Woody (Co-Chair) is Chairman of Elgin Energy. Previously, he was Deputy Chairman and General Counsel of Northstar Financial Services and was a partner with the law firm of Shook, Hardy & Bacon, L.L.P. He has held senior positions in the law firm of Lane & Mittendorf and in One to One/The National Mentoring Partnership. He has served as Special Counsel to the U.S. delegation to the United Nations.
Sara Shroff (Director) is Senior Director with Changing Our World, where she specializes in marketing and communications, brand development, organizational development, strategic philanthropy, and corporate social responsibility. Sara’s expertise also includes Diaspora (multi-cultural) philanthropy in the US, Middle East, Africa and South Asia. Sara directed the partnership development and campaign efforts for PlayPumps International, a $60 Million initiative to bring the benefits of clean water to sub-Saharan African.
Dale E. Jones (Director) is vice chairman for Heidrick & Struggles. He was named to the board of directors at Kohl’s Corp. in 2008. This follows a similar appointment to the board of trustees at Northwestern Mutual in May 2007. Dale serves on the National Advisory Board of The Salvation Army and also is a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO). He has also served as CEO of PlayPumps International, a non-profit organization that provides clean drinking water to villages in sub-Saharan Africa. He still serves on PlayPumps’ advisory board.
Martin V. B. Bostetter (Director Emeritus) served as a United States Bankruptcy Court Judge from 1959 to 1999, where he was Chief Judge from 1985 to 1999. He was an active member of the Committee on Court Administration of the Judicial Conference of the United States. He has also served on the Board of Directors of the Federal Judicial Center and was appointed by Supreme Court Justices Burger and Rehnquist to chair a committee to expand and improve educational programs for bankruptcy judges.
